Whos got the lowest trendlines

  Monaco 172 + mk1 RSi
My recaro's just arent low enough, there on recaro subframes, is there a way to get these significanly lower ? custon subframes or whatever i want to see your ideas ( preferably pictures too ), ive also taken out the vibration mounts btw

thanks jamie

I've got the same problem with my Recaros

Unless I can find a way to get them 2" lower I think there gonna get binned for some buckets

They bottom mount and from memory I think recaro do some sliders - so in theory you could fit the recaro sliders to the bottom and then just bolt them directly to the rails on the floor

What I was planning on trying are these

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DOUBLE-LO...CarParts_SM&hash=item3cba285e04#ht_1839wt_907

Just universale sliders - you should be able to drill them to match the bolt pattern on the bottom of the seats
Then bolt them straight to the floor rails.
That would lower them about 4" though which might be too much - but you could always make some 2" box section to raise them back up again

I'm taking my recaros out next week to fit my roll cage - I'll have a play around and see what might work :)

If you find anything, I'd like to know.

I took my vibration mounts out a made a big difference, but I'd still like to be a bit lower!

Yeah I probably will be doing - but I was thinking of chopping some lower mounts together just for rest of this year

Probably gonna go and buy some bimarco's over winter

Lol^^

Great replys guys, the seats are no where near as wide as the runners so how would they bolt directly?

My mums fella has a workshop ( he's a sheeter/fabricator ) so I'm gonna seebif I can replicate the recur subframes but a lower version, or even a flat plate, just to make ip the gap lol, don't know how losses it would be tho :/

All you need really is flat plate going across which would be attached to the bolts on the runners. Obviously the runners are different heights so you'd also need something like a 40mm box section attached to the runner near the door to get the seats level.

The runners I posted width can be anything you want mate - the only thing that dictates how far apart they are is the bar to slide them - and that can be chopped/welded whatever :)

It's easy enough to lower them, you just need to fabricate some custom subframes.

I have trendlines in my 182 and want them higher up believe it or not! lol
