tramlining, camber chasing and a substantial increase in NVH
All of which can be adjusted by using a better quality tyre, having alignment etc correctrd after putting bigger wheels on (most never get it done) and adjust the pressures accordingly. Not the oh i will chuck 32psi in all four as thats what ive always put in.
Tramlining and camber chasing can be caused by worn suspension components to. 17's imo will exagerate any play etc. That Nvh is a load of b****cks tbh so increasing overall tyre diameter by around 6mm over the standard 16" size it substansialy increases nvh lol.
Its more down to the brand of tyre used and weight of the wheel in question.
There are so many different diversties surrounding wheels and what not. I personally just put it down to cs hating them because a more popular poster doesn't like them and needs to "fit in" not be the outsider.
Over the years there has been many threads on this subject and all of them go the same way. The same as take for instance you don't have turinis, oz f1's, pro race 1.2's etc you are frowned upon.
Oh and i run neither 15s or 17's i think 15's look stupid. But thats my opinion i don't go round slating everyone who has them saying " that looks s**t" ( i'm not saying you have ) each to their own imo.
