Why are my heaters so crap

Can anyone tell me why my heaters in my valver are so crap? Its not good for me in this cold weather! It seems the more you turn them up, the colder they get! Are they all like this?

Could be heater matrix or in need of a coolant flush.

I know the Heater matrix doesnt cost too much, think its about 40 quid or so.

Fitting it though, is a different story

Heater matrix mate!!

Dont waste your time flushing it as you will have to do it it a week later again when you change the matrix!!

Matrix is £40 from BBPT and about £250 + VAT of course to fit it!!

I did mine in about 3 hours and its too hot now it makes my eyes sting!!

I will offer my services for £175 all in, matrix plus fitting and flushing your system!

Why is this then ? Are the old matrixes crap ? and newens good ? surely a coolent flush can help ? If not smokey come do mine !!

if your engine is up to temp then defo heater matrix.internal corrosion inside the cooling system gradually blocks up the matrix.if you dont flush it out and change the coolant then it will just block up your new matrix.

So to cure it ill need to replace the matrix, flush the coolant and all pipes and replace with new coolent ? Ill replace the expansion tank aswell as thats all horrible !!

replace matrix and coolant.give all your pipes a good flush out with a hose pipe before you refit the matrix.remember to flush out all the engine hoses and the radiator as well.a sign that it needs doing is the expansion bottle will be coated with orange/brown gunge on the inside.
