Why do my new mintex pads have a "sticky pad" on the back of them????

they have what is like double sided tape on the back of them where i would normally apply some copper grease, what is this for???
im about to fit them and need 2 know what this is for lol

think it may be an anti squeal device kinda like copperslip

so should i just remove the backing paper and expose the sticky bit>????

No, its a Teflon coated film....leave it on its designed to stop the pads sticking and squealing.
