f**king WINOWS VISTA IT KEEPS FREEZING ON ME IM IN f**king SAFE MODE WHAT THE f**k !!!!
thats nice FM and im 5"10, cy@.
Should have reported it to support.Your right, logging onto Vista with my own named user account and explorer.exe crashing on a blank build was 99% my fault, well done.
on an XP start menu, you click all programs and you can see all the programs, you then locate which one you want then move the mouse directly onto it to reach it/it's submenus.
on vista you click all programs and it squashes a selection of the all programs menu into the space, so you can only see a dozen(? perhaps) and if what you want isnt there you have to click scroll then click onto your program once you find it
it is an issue that is more my fault than vistas, but heh I prefer the XP start menu.
generally dont take my mouse with me as it's a very mobile laptop, classic menu is fine thoAh right, I get you now. Scroll wheel FTW?
yeah i said earlier thats what i do.Just switch back to classic mode then. Job done.
its only bad if your computer isnt vista capable...;]Just wondering as I'm not really a computer boffin.
I'm getting a new laptop next week sometime hopefully as my desktop is about to take a dump, and will probably have have Vista on it as thats what they seem to come with these days and have never really used it, as both my computer at work and at home have XP.
Is Vista really this bad.
Wait until Windows 7 is officially released and a few bugs are found in it.
Everyone will be slating it saying it's crap, it's buggy, it hogs resources etc...
Then it'll be "Vista was way better..." and the like...
Fact of the matter is, no matter how big Microsoft are, no matter how many programmers they have and no matter how much testing they do before releasing a new operating system to market - there are always going to be teething issues. It's impossible to test an operating system works flawlessly in every conceivable situation before putting it on sale.
Vista = good. 'Nuff said.
