Why does my MBP die when...

  SchwepTek™
I run Aperture?

Genuinely the thing runs super slow.

I would expect a 2.53gHz i5 and 4gb RAM to cope much much much better!

  BMW M4; S1000 RR
Standard 5400rpm HDD ?

I'm led to believe that is the main bottleneck in that computer. I have the same, but with 2.4ghz and 8GB of RAM and certain situations it runs horribly. I presume that will change when I finally close my eyes at the checkout total when buying a SSD.

Yeh standard 5400rpm which has been replaced twice lol.

I rly wish i could afford SSD. :(

It really doesnt handle Aperture very well at all.

I've just ordered a 250gb SSD for my 2.4ghz MBP so I'll let you know if it's worth it!

  Go cry to your momma!
It is, you don't need to let him know..

5400RPM drive in an MBP is like putting a mini moto carb on a big v8.
