Why forums are good

  Renaultsport Clio182
Yeah so after buying my 182 could hear one of rear wheel bearings was on way out so ordered up a set to do this weekend.

They came yest and I went to fit. What an absolute pig. Discs don't even look that old but would the old bearing come out? Would it buggery. Tried everything then had a quick scan on here to see if a was missing a trick but no, seems they like welding themselves to the inside of the disc.

So do t know what to do now, order up a set of rear discs or save myself a shed load of bother or ma mate was saying you can buy mintex discs with bearings already in and new pads for bout £70...

decisions...:S

Mintex discs will more than likely come with the wrong abs rings on them.

Get gen Renault ones (better bearings). or ask a trader on here. Do a search, deals to be had.

Mintex ones will be fine. I ordered a set and gave them to a friend and hes had them in over 6 months now with no issues.

People say buy genuine only as the bearings won't be as good but I'm curious to see how long the mintex ones last.

You say that, but there has been a few threads of late saying, they have had abs and braking problems after fitting Mintex discs.

So it was just a warning. Count the teeth on the ring.

Fred@BTM has a deal on at the moment. For an extra £30 I'd rather have 100% peace of mind. Still cheap as chips for what you get.

Fair enough.

I would probably buy genuine if i didn't get them at cost price through work which makes them stupidly cheap.
