Why is it so hard to get a quote !

greenlight, they wont speak to you, have to do everything online, which for a modified policy i find unacceptable, its quite important everything is discussed properly

swinton, the woman has just set a new record time for a quotation, she had no interest in the specifics and fired through every question as soon as possible, then said she would have to ring me on monday with a quote

performance direct, on hold forever, finally got through and halfway through a quote when he said he cant do modified, but id told the first person i spoke to i needed a modified policy quote, then i get put through to a different dept thats closed on a saturday !

im trying to get a quote so that i cant get adrian flux who im with to beat it, however its not looking likely at this rate

If its for a renewal then just make a price up and they'll beat it in my experience as long as its not silly. For example renewal for my 172 was £1500, said i'd been quoted £1400ish elsewhere and they came back with just under £1300.

*BEWARE*
Okay I know everyone's experience is different, but when I was insured through HIC, and, like a lot of their policies, you're actually insured with Highway....should be renamed Highway Robbery. Had a non fault accident, with a witness, and they were still dragging their heels 12 weeks later AND one of their idiots sounded surprised on the phone when I mentioned the witness, even though they'd sent me a letter acknowledging that there was a witness.

They say you find out how good your insurer is when you have to make a claim, and in my opinion, HIC as a broker, and Highway as an insurer, are sh*t!.

im pretty sure i was with Highway when i had the Clio GTT and had to claim through Liverpool Victoria, it was shear hell !

worked out my annual mileage, i usually put 12k on quotes, but realised i only do about 7k, asked about this and she said unless its under 5k it wont make any difference to my quote

also, i got a guarantee about beating any quote i had, turns out HIC are the same company as Flux, so she said we dont beat quotes from them because technically they are not losing me as a customer if i switched to them
