Why Is This Happening!!!

I plug my digital camera in to my computer via USB - computer crashes....
Plug in SD card reader - computer crashes

plug in old camera, bluetooth dongle, mp3 player - all is fine.

Both camera & SD card reader work at my work pc.

Any ideas will be very welcome, as cant get pics on to my pc.

could it be i have to many devices that use USB? can i check the status of my usb ports and 'un-assign' my old camera?

Unplug every device and try just putting one device in. Check device manager and usb root power usage.

cans find usb root power usage.....
but can find universal serial bus scontrollers...

in this section i have a list of host contollers etc?

im not that good with computers lol!
