Why won't my car lock?

Both keys will not lock the car? Why?

What can I check?

Just for reference the auto lock button inside works along with when I drive off.

Yes. Today I used the spare key and since neither have worked.

I had this problem. Just disconnect the battery for 5 mins, reconnect, then you should be ok again.

Worked for me mate.

Does the light flash on the keys when you press the button?

Happened to me in Belgium, had to get home and take it to renault to be reset. If I would have known a quick battery disconnection was all it would have taken I'd have saved myself some £££

Cheers guys, popped out to disconnect battery, waited five minutes, reconnected it and everything works as designed.

Fix: Disconnect battery, wait a few minutes then reconnect battery.
