Just my opinion, but unless it's an RS it wouldn't get a second look from me, far better cars out there, out of mk1's only one i'd have is the williams, but would have to be a second car. got a 172, all mk2 RS's are pretty much the same, V6 is out of my league. mk3's look god awful and from what i've read of the new 197 i'll leave that alone.

Well im after Timmay's 1.6. IF hes still got it by then, itll be my 2nd car. Buying another because of the interior, exterior and the way the handle all round. there are better but clios are super.

i would defo. Would have to be a mk2 v6 to. In red or the blue. No point getting a 197 yet give it another year and they will prob bring out a phase 2.

Already have two Clios, my 1.6 and the 1.2 fidji that Dunc and I share. I'm not interested in the new Clio at all. I'm waiting to see what happens with the Twingo. I won't be getting rid of either of the Clios though, love them too much. If the Twingo is what I am hoping it will be, I'll get one.

I'd definately buy another Renault (not brand new) as I've always found them to be good.

Got cambelt due on my 172 though in Sept/Oct so won't be selling up for a while.

I've had 2 clios, both been as good as you'd expect so far (touch wood). I would get another one but onwards an upwards, so a 182 or ph2 V6...not a fan on the 197 really

I'd buy another shell to put my engine in so I can continue to mod it, but thats about it tbh... it would almost certainly be a Mk1 shell too. Only Clio I'd consider again would be another Williams or a Cup/Trophy, but tbh this is going to be my last Clio, so will prolly end up keeping her til she's dead.

I want a vee in a few years. The only thing I'd like as much is the new ford mustang.

I think the french have european styling sussed so I've always really liked the look of most renaults, not just the clio, and think their styling gets better with age. The clio (in any year or spec) is a nicer looking hatch than anything produced by the competition in my opinion.

I'd have a 5GTT Raider or valver if I could afford a second car. I'd love to build a williams clio maxi rally one day.

Im kinda on the same wavelength as you Maz.Just got the missus a Mini Cooper Convertible on a 04 plate and the service was spot on.Nice bottle of wine,flowers and they bent over backwards helping out as much as they could.They have already called to ask if she is happy with the car and said they will drop call again if thats ok.That was from a TOYOTA dealer as well.I never heard a peep from Renault after i bought the car and its always a chew on when i phone for something.When i was buying the car,they were really helpful but once they got my cash it all changed.

i would buy another Clio if the Clio197 turned into the Clio225. Ownership cost are ok with me but next i'll be getting a VXR corsa/astra.

Not a fan of vax but just want some low-down torque. Think a black Corsa with black wheels would look the bollards. Would never buy a vax new tho due the massive deprecation but it seems the two above cars will be similar running cost to the clio and will give me what i want.

(p.s don’t like the meg225’s arse that’s why I wont want one)

im currently looking at buying a an cheep mk2 ph2 gotta get the cash first. its going to get fully stripped and rebuilt. i dont want to pay any more than £1500 dont care if it works as long as the car aint be crashed. then welcome to track toy.

yeah. i can apreciate poeple have had more than 3 cars right now. so you may be looking at something with a little more class and va va vroom. In all honesty i wouldnt get a Vee because of the fact its only got 2 seats and the boot is smaller than my glovebox XD

Im after another clio as my second car as the one ive got has been very good, relaible most of the time (touch wood and rub wood all over myself). Interior has grown on me tbh. really really like them.

I might go for a 172 when i grow up and wont get raped by the insurance companies. But after than i might aim for a small merc or a beemer. depending on my circumstances though.

i've been thinking about this for months now, really depending on how much cash i have at the min im contemplating keeping my 172 and adding tb's, getting a v6 and tb'ing it or possibly something like a lotus exige i just really havent made my mind up so i've just started putting money into a savings account so when the future is revealed i can make the right choice
