Wide arch info

Thinkin of getting a wide arch kit for my 1.8 but bit concerned about the rear wheels and putting spacers on (apparently this aint the best). Has anyone had experience of this or would it be best to get wider wheels?

Also, does anyone know what width/offset size would be best to use with alien arches??

I imagine you want a bt more than 8 mm but i use spacers on each wheel cos ive got the big brakes, and have to have 8mm on the 2 from wheels to bring them out to clear the calipers. i use them on th eback aswell just so it keeps the track of the car the same and you could notice it before.

personally i dont like spacers, just make sure you use the correct length bolts if you do it, i got mine from demon, just got 10mm longer than the originals. id be cautious of going to big with the spacers but it might be fine!?

probably somewhere like Demon wheels dept would be able to tell you whats best, they sorted me out ( there wheel specialists so they know there stuff).
