Widening Arches

As ive been told that is quite difficult and quite expensive to put 16v rear arches onto a Maxe it?

ive found a local garage that reckon that they can widen my arches for me, it apparently wont look as good as the 16v arches but will flare them slightly-

just wondering if anyone else has considered this or has done it?

Also, how low can you go without doing anything to the arches as im looking at dropping it 60mm?

J

I have 15" ox titans on mine, 195/45 tyres, and am planning to drop it 60mm

Shouldnt be a prob unless you have v.wide wheels, wot i did, get 3 of ur largest m8s to pile in the back and then have a look at the wheels, mine was down so that the tyre was inside that arch and there was no rubbing

i dont just wont them widened to fit my alloys but i just think it will look better if theyre wider aswell - just wondered if anyone had had this done?

J

thsts why im not going for the 16v arches - i just wanna widen the ones ive got to make them look a little better and to give me extra clearance on my alloys when lowered.

bit far then, i know a place thatll custom watever u want on ya car or just make em for ya! excellent pricing too, but down in southampton

17s and rolling my arches??? nah, think ill pass - would rather lower my car more and not roll my arches - i want her as low as possible, not rolling on 17s

he will do anything u desire basically and its excellent quality work too. prices depend on what u want, aint a clue on that one
