Wider wheels/tyres question

got a quick question, will going from 15" wheels (standard dynamique) to a set of 16" Turinis with wider tyres give me a bit more grip in the corners because currently with the 15s i find the back end can be a bit twitchy when you hit bumps

i would say yes as ive currently got iains 172 wheels on the rear of my car and can feel the difference as theyr not as wide as the 182 wheels.

... well whats the width of them ?? 195 ?
