widest wheels i can fit?

hi guys, this is my first post on here so take it easy on me, ive got a 52 plate 1.2 16v clio and i wanted to know what widest wheels i can fit on it, isit the offset im trying to find out? im not too clued up wheels so please advise me

u can find the offset in the wheel dimensions post and ppl have put up to 9 inch wide wheels on some and welcome mate

i have another question now what does it mean by offset it says 35-38 but i have no clue as too whats what
