Wierd iPhone problem

Hello, my mate has recently had her old iPhone swapped for a replacement as the old one was playing up (FOC)... However, when she went to plug the new replacement into her computer, iTunes doesn't recognise/acknowladge she's plugged it in? Widows however, detects the iphone as a camera. She has tried the refresh thing when you plug it in but thats not worked?

She can't activate the phone either as you need to do it through iTunes? Any ideas!?

Mine did this once, try a different USB port and if it still doesn't work restarting the computer might. (These worked for me)

Aye her system etc meets all the requirements. As mentioned, it worked fine with her old phone :S
