wierd noise

when i hit the accelerator on my car it makes a funny noise which u can cleary hear its sounds like a gush of wind/air blowing right thru the car sounds a bit like a dummy and i know it cant be this as i only have a 1.2 lol

im not to clued up on this so could anyone give me advice do i need new belt etc

Checked under the bonnet to make sure a pipe hasnt come loose and detached from the air filter box or something?

I remember on my second 1.2 I looked under the bonnet when it was a couple of weeks old and a black plastic pipe thing had come unplugged. Too long ago to remember exactly what it was.
