Wierd occurance

Had the car jacked up at the rear yesterday so put the car in gear. It was left like this over night. Lifted the front up and then did the rear and front lines. Once i finished, i took the car out of gear, turned it on, and the front disks turned. WTF? I even once i depressed the clutch it stopped, but when i released the clutch (while in neutral) the discs turned again. Gave it a good rev, out it in gear, removed it from gear and it was ok. (apologies is thats confusing)

Any ideas? Sticking clutch? Bit puzzling. Add that to the occassional time the car trys to stall when in gear. :S

I mean when depressing the clutch while reversing, even though it's right to the floor.
