Wifi Manager

  tiTTy & SV650
Guy at work was telling me how he uses intel software to manage his wireless connection and its much better than using windows own software.

I notice that on my dads pc his connects within say 20-30 secs of starting up, mine doesn't and I often need to refresh the available connections.

Can anyone recommend a decent software that I can download and try?

i turn the intel software off if i setup a machine that has it installed.

a) wireless is gay and i use wires if possible

b) windows wireless management is fine and will connect straight away on all that i have ever setup.

c) wireless is gay

Built in Windows Wifi Management is always better.\\

The only way in which a 3rd party app wins is if you need profiles.. but, Vista solves this. (OSX, does, too ;))

you forgot to mention that wireless is gay.

It isn't tho, heh.
It's unpredictable in certain environments, but when it works, it's great.

The Wifi management in Vista seems pretty solid so far. I have to agree though, use wires as and when you can. I only use wireless as it's not practical to run 10m of cable through my flat from the access point where the gateway lives.

Although, I used to share your problem Rory when I used XP. I would boot and then have to refresh the connections for the IG to establish a connection to the net. It was most annoying. I never found a solution. :(
