Will 17's fit on a 1997 mk1 face lift?

Got a mk1 1997 face-lift old school clio
just wondering if 17's will fit on it?
cheaper than gettin new 15's and lowering springs/lowering it or puttin it on coilovers

If you put 17's on it, it will look like a roller skate (too high) IMO

Prob need rear arch work doing.

On a mk1 17's look shockin. 16's look great tho.
