Will 185/580-R15 slicks fit Willy alloys?

Probably a question for the track peeps, as above will 185/580-R15 slicks fit Willy alloys?

Flan had this size on at oulton iirc....looked very skinny on his turbine track wheels....compared to the usual 195s..

Yeah they are Dunlops, they defo will fit I get confused with the diff sizes :S

Shouldn't look narrow compared to a 195. Race tyres sizes are the width across the tread, not the width across the bag like for road tyres. A 185 Dunlop race tyre is the width of a 205 road tyre.

The 185/580R15 is Dunlop makes for the Clio Cup cars to race on. The thing though is that the Clio Cup cars are lowered for racing and have a different gearbox in them geared for racing - the sequential racing 6-speed box. A better tyre for a road Clio to run on would be the 185/555R15 the German Lupo Cup cars use. It is the same width. The inch smaller rolling diameter lowers the cars by half an inch giving better handling. And while it shortens the gearing a bit you never use that last 10 km/h at the top end on the track, and it gives you better acceleration.

Alternatively you can go with the same diameter as the Clio Cup tyre, but wider, by going for the 200/580R15 that's used in a whole lot of different classes around the world.
