WILL A PHASE 2 172 EXHAUST FIT A PHASE 1 172?

Hi everyone i have to buy a new back box for my phase 1 172 and i have found a member on here selling one but its off a 53 plate 172, will the back boxs be the same, Standard rear boxs

yes, as long as it has a telescopic centre section, otherwise NO.

as far as i am aware the only difference between the two systems is the cat/downpipe. And the two different ones are the same length anyway.
IMO save for a full system

The backboxes are the same.

The centre boxes are different, the 172mk1 has a longer centre section to make up for the shorter cat. Theres about an inch and a half difference.
