Will Megane R26/225 wheels fit a Clio 200 with Cup Suspension Pack?

Just wondered if anyone can confirm whether Megane 225/R26 wheels will fit a Clio 200 with Cup Suspension?

Yes, they'll just look stupidly big

there only 1" bigger so will look fine, the raiders run with 18"

Surely the fact that the tyre will be a slightly lower profile will offset the size difference in wheel diameter??

Laguna Silverstones look 10x better

If going with 18's, would the default/standard 225/40/18 fitment be best or a 215/35/18 size instead?

225/40. Anything smaller look like rubber bands and feel shocking!

I have 235/40/18 on my megane and they feel way better than 225

I know that on my R26 the standard fit was 235/40/18 but as the Clio standard figment is 215 width on a 17 inch diameter rim, I thought that maybe it would need a narrower width / lower profile to avoid any clearance issues...

If 225/40/18 fit without clearance issues then I guess that's the sweet spot!

Yep, 225’s. It’d look too stretched otherwise and drive like a pig.
