Will these alloys fit?

  Arctic 182FF
Seen a set of megane alloys on ebay. Seller claims they're 4 stud so i'm assuming they'll be 4x100 and the right centre bore (60.1) However the tyres are size 225/45/17. I had issues with the back left tyre rubbing when i put 172 alloys on my non sport ph2 and they were only 10mm wider. Will these definitely rub unless i get some ridiculously large spacers?

A link would be useful. Meganes are not all 4x100. That width could be ok or could be disastrous depending on the offset.

I'm afraid that if i link it someone else wil buy them haha. No mention of offset. I know that newer meganes have a 5xsomething pcd but since it says 4 stud i thought it'd be 4x100 as i'm not aware of any other renault pcd with 4 studs. However this is a listing from renaultspares which are the same alloys. Still doesn't say offset or pcd though http://www.renault-spares.co.uk/renault-megane-17-celcius-alloy-wheel-1844-p.asp
They're called Celcius alloys if anyone knows the offset of them by heart?

Just buy them and try them.

If you won't link in case someone buys them then why would anyone want to help you?

FYI, I'd rather eat horse s**t than fit 17 inch wheels to a Clio. As would most.

Yeah I guess so, but there've been a few people who fitted megane/clio 17s to non sport clios. I remember seeing someone on here who had some lairy coloured nervasport 17s on a black non sport. just wondering if it's possible and if so what sort of size spacers i'd need etc.

Problem of buy them and try that is that i'm not made of money and it's a long way to go to get wheels that don't fit properly. Why should that affect whether someone would help me or not? That's your opinion and you're more than entitled to it. I'm personally still undecided as i've seen some clios with 17s that look pretty awesome, others look s**t. Was thinking since they're renault alloys they wouldn't look too chavy and if it was low enough they'd still look decent. Just my way of looking at it

It's possible, but if 172 wheels rub then bigger ones are going to. Then do you plan to lower it? Just causes problems.
Plus I agree with Daniel. 17s are to big for a clio IMO. But if you want to do it I'm sure you could make it work

Yeah I got a set of coilies the other day and they'll be going on next month. Probably a bit more trouble that they're worth to be honest. Just thought the alloys themselves looked smart and I've never seen them on a clio before which I also liked. However you guys are most probably right about 17s being too big on a ph2. Thanks for the replies

Just post the link. How are we meant to help when you're giving us next to no info? At least if you post a link somebody might say 'oh they're off 'whatever year' Megane and they have a 4x*** stud pattern. So you're one step closer.

wasn't that jesus? Cause his non sport looked sweet with 17's. Wouldn't knock the 17's for yours until you have tried them though, some do look good.

There is no more information on the ad than what I have given. I have supplied the information that they are Megane Celcius alloys and posted a picture of them. I did a search for Megane stud patterns and they only do a 4x100 and a 5x108. So they must be 4x100 if they're 4 stud, the only thing I can't find is the offset. However, since it's seeming highly unlikely that I'll get them now, here's the link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310503817324?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Already got 172 alloys on, it was mentioned earlier in the thread. However, I'm looking at other alloys as I want something that isn't done quite so commonly.

They'll more than likely fit. Cant be 100% sure. Chances are if you "want something that isn't done quite so commonly" you're going to have to take a small risk. Worst thing that can happen is you resell them.

I bought 24-year-old Renault-5 wheels for about that price which I only knew the diameter (of the wheel that is), PCD, and center bore. Fitted fine.

Thanks Jack. These are now my second choice behind renault 19 16v alloys, should be a bit less hatred towards them since they're 15s. However if I can't source them then I will be looking towards these again.
