1.2 8v and 1.2 16v have different bolt spacing so i doubt they'll fit your car

No, the 16v uses 58mm bolt spacing and the 8v has 52mm bolt spacing. My friend with an 8v bought some 16v coilovers yesterday and had to get them plasma cut to fit (bodge).
