Will this alarm fit?

I've determined the cobra alarm on my 172 cup is dead as a dodo
The LED never flashes - it never beeps even if you lock the car with the doors open etc.. etc...

So I enquired a few places about buying a second hand siren (which I see is the entire alarm control box too) - but seemed a lot of work and a lot of money

So I found a brand new one on ebay for £100 (pic attached) - but it says renault part number 77 11 226 315

According to this thread on here about fitting them (http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=366674) - the part number should be 77 11 237 551

However I noticed in that thread that is for the cobra 7887 but he said it's identical to the cobra 7897 except the 7897 has a battery backup?

Does anyone know if the one i've bought - 77 11 226 315 is the cobra 7897??

Do renault have parts cd or a parts website you can login to find part numbers?

I've bought the alarm anyway - assuming its just a cat 2 -> 1 upgrade I figured if it won't plug and play with my existing wiring - I can get an auto electrician to swap them

It'll fit no probs.

problem will be if the cup loom doesn't have the alarm connector built in, but it's fairly easy to splice into the bits you need if it hasn't.

Do you have ultrasonic sensors on the pillars already? Is there a siren under the scuttle? Wonder if you have one that's died or if some bodge artist has put an led in for the hell of it?

Yeah its got the sensors on the pillars and the siren under the scuttle

I was hoping the siren would be the same as the one on mine so I could just swap that over and leave all the wiring in - but this new one has turned up and looks different
The sensors are nice moulded ones rather than black square ones for a start lol

I *think* mines spliced into the loom - but I'm not sure
This alarm that I've bought has the 5 pin connector - and the old alarm will have had a 5 pin connector - so I assume I can just copy how they've spliced those 5 wires in?

Where is the alarm connector if it does have one? Is it behind the glovebox?
Do the glovebox's come out to make it easier?
