Hi,

My friend recently bought a Clio Williams2...Hes owned a Clio 16V before and loves the way both cars handle...

The thing is that his Williams limits at 7800rpm and my mate and I both think that it might be chipped...

Is this the case...Should the Williams2 really rev to that much?

bit odd that mate TBH, a chipped willy usually revs to 7200-7500 depending on chip. Arre you sure its the 2l and not the 1.8? Does it make good low end power?

Dont rev it that hard the engine cannot handle it and will go bang.

It sounds like all the chip has done is remove the rev limiter.

What does a normal williams limit out at?

My friends clio does limit but it just seems unusually high!?

thought it was 6500rpm, your rev counter could be out also fella so yes it could be chipped to 7500 but the rev counter could be reading slightly wrong, but it is a bit high for it!

2lives revved to over 8k once....

6.5k is standard limit.
