WILLIAMS Conversion versus BBTUNING TURBO CONVERSION????

  renault clio 1.8 16v
Right men,

Ive had my 95n plate 16v clio for 2 years now, still loving it, but feel its time to seriously mod the engine!

Basically ive seen quite a few guys who have dumped a williams engine in their valver with lightened flywheel, crank, cams, chipped, etc.etc. resulting in some serious extra bhp!

Now im thinking of doing this or having bb tuning do me the turbo conversion.

What do any of you guys think? Which one would you go for?

Obviously there is potential for 200bhp-250bhp with the bbtuning turbo conversion, but is this power just going to be totally to waste in a FWD car? Plus there is a massive cost involved with this, but if I have it done it will be totally one of a kind.

With the williams engine I have seen people recording up to 180bhp, maybe beyond, giving a 0-60 time of around 6 secs. This will be a lot cheaper too! :)

Any serious advice would be much helpful, perhaps from someone who has had a willy conversion or a bb tuning turbo conversion.

Cheers
Leigh

dont get a turbo engine alla bbpt....its not proper!!

a nice t.b install is what you want, unless your willing to spend the money and build a PROPER turbo engine...

you also want to make sure set-up i.e mapping is of high standard, it can make/break the install....

lol ben, u knows it....

mine should be back on the road next week also, killing me driving the van... tho it does provide good lift-off over-steer action on the way to work, and give 300miles on £20 worth of LPG, so not all bad.....lol
