Get one and put it on, if it doesn't make a difference sell it.

I had one on my RT and I've got one on my 16v and they both made a noticeable improvement.

What have you got to lose?

Lunner on here sells the for £35 I think.
it should frree the engine up and give a few more hp depends the condition of the staock one but it will be better regardless.
