williams fuel tank

has anyone had experience of changing a fuel tank on a willimas?? my one has a leak from the filler pipe to the tank and i have been told that a new tank is required as the old one is warped at this connection....... and since it had been looked at by renault it stinks of petrol every time i drive it.

any advice/experiences/costings would be good. please&thanks!!!!!

I had the fuel tank done on my GTT, didnt want the same problem myself of getting a second hand one and it had the same leak as its a common fault with 5s, so the price of the main tank from Renault was £220.47 and fitting from a local guy who does all my work was £170.00 including replacing both fuel lines. Told me it was an abosolute ball ache of a job.

as weight says the filler neck goes to the reserve tank. the main fuel tank is easy enough to change but the reserve one is even easier as its only held on by a few bolts.
