when cold or engine just started the accelerator on my clio seems to be sticking !! (i.e when i change gear! it revs quite high!!)

Also apparently ive got an oil leak which is going onto the starter wires thus not letting the car start, just like ive got a flat battery ! ihave to push start it sometimes!?!?

Anyone had any similar problems with there willy/valver??

Could be the automatic choke adjusting its self untill it on choke. Does it still do it when the engines hot ?

Check electric connector around the throttle body, iscv etc - one of my valvers ones was loose and the car revved up randomly.

Also check speedo cable at the throttle body end - think there is a small transparent rubber gommit/sleve that can slip through from the cable housing (black bit with clip that keeps the cable tensioned) and sits underneith the cable where it curves round the butterfly attachment thus lifting it up and keeping the throttle open. Apolgies for the description but if its there youll see what i mean. Anyway, if it is just cut it off.
