Williams Tyre Pressures

  williamsclio.co.uk/forum

Hi all,

Ive looked in the williams 3 handbook on tyre pressures for the standard 185/50/R15 tyres and it states that they should be @ 2.0bar. Can anyone help with there experiance of what is the best pressure when running on a 195/50/r15 profile ? Currently its up @ 2.0bar (is this right) but the ride quality over bumps is really bad !

Many thanks

RiCh

And how does it handle bumps and pot holes at that pressure ?

Cheers

just because the tyre size changes doesnt mean the pressure will change, as, well........its a measure of pressure and not the amount of air in the tyre

i would try between 28 and 35 psi, then stick with whatever you feel most comfortable with. Its more about what you feel good with rather than manufacturer specs as these include many more compramises.

I run 34 on the front, otherwise when going round corners the sidewalls seem to fold over to much and i seem to run on the sidewalls not the tyres!

Cheers, ive dropped them all down to 1.9bar and it seams better. Im still getting used to the car, only had it since the weekend.

Carnt wait to see what its like in the wet.

Dropped them to as near 1.8Bar is i can, and it seams less of a harsh ride over pot holes now. Handling around corners is still sweet as.

northy mate just be careful in the wet........they can catch out the uninitiated sometimes lol

mine still catches me out in the wet sometimes wen ur 1/2 way thru a coorner an the 4500 rpm power surge comes on n starts spinnin the wheels n understeerin a lot hehe

the lift off oversteer is more fun tho
