Northy, yes.. cus Willy 3 style dont exist. They had the same wheels for 1, 2 and 3..
Ive seen BRAND NEW ones from Renault..
Everyone says "I have original alloys" - How can you tell? Low mileage means nothing, ive seen a 20k Williams advertised as "Wheels Refurbed".
Mine are Williams 3 - badly refurbed.. you can see the original paint under the new paint.. BUT, there is no gold after the rim. Why? Cus they didnt paint the whole wheel like they do when they get refurbed - they were bodged.. but, in the case of Williams wheels, it seems bodged is better.
Why are they gold after the rim on refurbs? Because no one can (or at least for a good price) diamond cut the rim right round the side.. youd need a specialised lathe setup I guess to do nothing but that - which, Speedline would have had making thousands of these wheels. The gold after the rim occurs when someone refurbs them - they spray the whole wheel gold.. then diamond cut the rim, but as they dont have all the specialised equipment Speedline do, you never get the cut round the rim.. result? You get gold after the rim..
If it wasnt for sidewalls with rim protection, the gold would look rediculous after the rim.. itd be like.. gold rim looking down on them.. changing to silver as you move your head..
So in conclusion,
2 Live.. did they diamond cut your rim all the way round? Cus if they did.. Id be prepared to make the journey.
