window wipers

bare with my whilst i try n explain this lol!

when i push my window wipers stalk down once it goes to "intermitant" basically moves the wipers every say 5 or 6 seconds.. move it again it goes to kinda fast n then again goes to super fast..

Now when i push it down once it goes then pauses for 6 secs or so then goes again.. but other times when i push it down once it goes n then a second later goes again.. but this is a different speed that pushing it down twice..

anyone know whats going on?

Afaik the 2nd one down is auto wipers, ie. if you leave it on 2 down and tis not rainign they wont move... well thats how it is in mine. And on 2 the speed varies according to rain levels.

Hmm, imo as long as they still work i wouldn't worry. It's when they don't go at all you should worry.

yeah, thats for the rear tho..

to make the front ones go u push it down like u do the indicators..

No I meant an adjustment dial with different levels on it. I know the Mk2's had it and it was for adjusting the speed of the intermittent wipe.

ah right.. nah mate i dont..

it just seems to pick and choose what speed the intermittent wipe works at... kinda annoys me cuz it seems that the times u want a long gap it does it in a short one and the times a short gap is needed it takes ages lol
