Windows 7 - Startup Failed

ok heres another

how come when i plug my previous hard drive into my W7 machine i cant access my old user area, but plug it into a xp machine and everything is there.

W7 says i dont have permissions

I had this... had to mount the drive and make it "Active" in Disk Management or similar if I remember rightly.

Outlook issue was a little arse too - but Google saved the day on that. Something to do with "accounts" IIRC.
 
If you don't have permissions over the data you need to take ownership of the files. (Google taking ownership).
 
I've got two .Pst files I know one is fine as I imported it last month when I had to reinstall. But I can't even move the file as apparently its corrupt

It's on a memory stick not the dodgy hard drive
