windows live messenger help

Car  Mercedes C Class Sport
Ive just got my laptop back from being repaired, and everytime i try to sign into windows live messenger it keeps saying theres an error, and its to do with my firewall settings? Ive checked and i cant find any firewalls on my comp lol
Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

yeah i do, might that affect it? I can get on msn via my main pc which also uses the router

tbh it should be enabled, i wouldnt go online with just your router firewall.

go into your router settings and enable it then.

i dunno if you enable the program or enable the port it uses.

log into your router. i think you put the router ip in your address bar and it brings up admin and password. type that in (usually default login/password which can be found on google unless you changed it)

then just enable those ports, try that, if not try the other one
