What's the best way to bring up an old windscreen.

Can you clay it?

(I really don't want to replace it if i don't have to)

What's wrong with it specifically? Could a good going over with glass polish not bring it back to life?

You could clay it, but I'm not sure what you would achieve by that.

110,000 miles and it needs a good scrub.

Whats a decent glass polish?

  Whichever has fuel
Use some G3 or other good compound and a machine polisher.

If you know of anyone good at detailing they will understand as I appreciate you aren't one of the Polish and photograph brigade.

I use a guy that specifically carries out windscreen buffing and he charges £60 plus VAT and does a very good job. Eliminates 90% of wiper scratches etc.

Smash it and claim on the insurance?

Mines only a £50 excess lol

Or polish as said by Daniel!

  Better than yours. C*nt.
Aye, get someone with a machine polisher to give it a thorough mopping with a harsh compound.

I've just bought some Cerium Oxide and some 75mm felt pads for my PC. apparently thats the best way to get it out... if you can be arsed to spend the time doing it! :)
