when you pull the wiper stalk towards you does screen wash come out the front or the back and also check the washer pipe for leaks you can also disconnect the washer pipe from the bonnet jet and just see if it squirts washer fluid out from the pipe
Thanks for the replys. A while back one of the nozzles was blocked and I cleared it by poking it with a bit of wire. Fluid only comes out the rear when I turn the knob on the stalk. Nothing at all out the front. This has started when I ran dry off screen wash?
if you have headlight washers you can swap the plug connectors(as washer bottle is fitted with 2 washer pumps 1 for front/back) on the washer pump and use the rear washer pump as your front one :approve:
I will pull the pipes off tomorrow and see if it squirts. The pump must still be working if it is pumping to the rear. I Have headlight washers but rather I didnt as I think they are pointless. The nozzles make the car look better though IMO.
So far I have had all the annoying faults as follows in under two years.
1. Heater resistor pack failure.
2. Broken driver door check strap ( clicking )
3. Rear bearing failure
4. Hand brake failure
5. Windscreen washer jet failure
6. Melted thumb grips
7. Exhaust bracket failure ( banging off axle/ even after being propped up with a socket )
8. External thermometer failure/ 87 degrees celcius it was today according to my car.
Renault really know how to build a quality car using the best quality parts and expertise in engineering the cnuts that they are.
