windscreen wipers

i've got a clio 1994 L reg 1171cc, how the hell do you stop the windscreen wipers at the bottom of the screen or is it a matter of getting the hang of it, shouldn't they auitomatically reset themselves?

They should you may need to take the motor out and check for any broken bits. Just remember where it went back so file a line into both pieces. Most of the time it is just a plastic clip that breaks off, well it does on landrovers and i can't see the mechanism being that much different.
