Hi,

I've just brought a 172, it's still got the orginal factory Renault screen fitted, was wondering if anyone could tell me what the small retangler box at the bottom middle of screen is for?

Its about 2" x 4" is size and is a different colour to the rest of the screen.

It's a space for fitting GPS etc, so you get better signal.

It's actually for toll passes in France.

Pretty sure it's not but I may be wrong.

hi im actualy a windscreen fitter for national mobile windscreens, and the rectangle at the bottom of the screen is mainly for sat nav use, due to the screen being solar reflective it cuts down the signal to the sat nav, thanks lee
