If a clio windscreen has cracked from the base of the window under the scuttle plate ie: No stone chips marks etc,

Would this be covered under the warranty?

doubt it but worth a try. Only £50 on insurance anyway and doesnt affect no claims

Mine did that exactly as you describe. Couldnt get them to Renault to pay so did it through insurance. No charge at all with Direct Line.

Jonathan did yours crack from the bottom right hand corner?

It was right in the middle at the bottom through the gap in the coating. Strangely it appeard the day after its first service ? At the time when I asked arround on the web and at the windsceen place they had never seen one do it. From one of the corners seemed more common. Has been ok since the new one was put in.
