Winter wax

Right loosing interest in all this cleaning malarky so I doubt the car will be getting washed much over the coming months.

So need something durable to stick on both the wheels and the body, trying to do this cheap as possible.

Was going to buy some FK1000p will it do the job just over the winter?

  Not a 320d
Id still go down the FK1000p route. Proper prep too. Clean the paint with a good cleaner - AF Tripple or Super resin Polish will do. Machine polish if you can. Two coats on two separate days, job done.

  Golf GT & A4 Avant
GTechniq C2 or C1.5

Far easier to apply and re layer if wanted should the weather allow within 5 minutes. cheaper than FK I believe as well

Still more prep work to do thought mate. I do agree though. 1.5 is a good winter sealant for quick top ups.

FK1000p. Tried and tested.

If I wasn't such a wax wh*re and applied it monthly, I'd use it too.

FK saw me safely through from September to March the next year (2011). Easy to apply, cheap and comes in a massive tin.

Doesn't the surface get covered in crap in between the first and second applications? Or does this only apply if the car stays un-driven and in a garage?

Yer. Dont make me state the obvious :)

Just needs curing time thats all. Second coat can be applied a week later when you wash it, or it can sit in the garage for 24 hours and you can simply dist down and re apply.
