Why do the wipers on the mk2ph2 go the wrong way, yet dont on other models?

anyone have an idea?

is i cause the french are lazy and couldnt be bothered to switch them over when they moved the wheel to the right side for us UK chaps??

Thats it.
Its down to cost the cost whilst you don't think its mucy is huge to swop wipers over.
