well i got so far but then it came up :

windows cannot configure this wireless connection


If you have enabled another program to manage this wireless connection ,use that software.

if you want windows to configure the wireless connection,start the wireless zero Configuration (WZC) service. For information about starting the WZC service, see article 871122 in the microsoft knowledge
base on the microsoft.com website

Kirsten I'd recomend getting someoen out. I'm not to bad with PCs but I tried setting up a wireless network at home for weeks ended up getting a technitial to come and fix it did it in 10 minutes and no problems since.

Check there's no other wireless software installed too, like the laptop manufacturers software otherwise windows will get stuck.
