wireless query

Just get a cable router.. (providing you're allowed to)

There are two types - ADSL and Cable. You need the cable (which is just standard CAT5/RJ45 for the WAN/Internet link)
 
Those splitters allow you to have 2 devices plugged into the socket at the same time, but they won't allow you to run them both at the same time unfortunately (i've tried)
 
cheers scotty, though that might have been the case as i remember dad trying the same thing many years ago when we first had dial up!
 
Well a router would make it look like you only have one device anyway.

I'd always use one, as it increases security too - all you need is a couple of Computer Science geeks on the same network, and they'll own you without a proper firewall.
