wires behind radios?

How the hell do you get it all to fit? i struggled yesterday, is there a simple way ie take something off so you can get your hands to them? :S

try and feed the wires into the far corners of the recess... there's loads of space behind the dashboard on either side to stash the wires.

i for some reason was struggling big time! its stuck out of the dash half an inch at the min! i gave up before i broke something in a rage! it took me 20 mins to turn DEMO mode off, may aswell of been reading the german instructions!!!!!!

if you find it that difficult,take out your hazard button and use a very long screw driver to manouvre the cable to out of the way

yes its a complete and utter ball ache...just takes time and patience..it will click in eventually..

If you remove the panel beneath the heater controls then you can get your hand up to feed the cables as you push the headunit back in. Its a piece of piss with the dash top off but thats a bit extreme.

i got a big screwdriver and poked all the wires and boxes in to the 2 gaps at the side lol

I used the gaps down the sides and behind the panel where the hazard lights button is. Total and utter pain in the arse to do, it took me ages. Make sure you tape the wires/blocks to something, else you will have a rattle like I do as I didn't think to do that till a mate mentioned it

under the climate/AC controlls there is a removable pannel, above the ghey drink holders
it pulls forward, stick a screwdriver in the top section and leaver down..
once you got that panel off, stick ya hand in there and reach up.. should be able to feel the loom,, adjust to your hearts content..

Update! new radio is now hooped, and being returned to manufacturer! so when it arrives i will try all the above! cheers!:clown:

I just spent 10 mins moving the cables around until it went in. Didn't take any panels/dash etc. off.

10 hundred million times easier to get a hu in

Its such a headache, just try and shove them either side of the slot for the headunit, theres gaps in the dash.
