its a nightmare on them all mate, theres ways to get it through some people have manged to get it through the gromit for the bonit release cable, i found some dodgey guide on the net were it advised taking the wipers off and then the wiper reservoir and using some gromit under there, but me and a m8 managed to get it through the left side pannel then through the dash... lost about a pint of blood in small cuts on my hands and i caught man flu cos i didnt get it all sorted till about 1am... mother wasnt best pleased when smack my b**ch up started pumping out my jbl :D

Just keep trying, worth it you know it is :) its loads better feeling the music rather than just listening

ive not done a mk2 clio yet but im told the bonnet release cable feed is a suitable way in depending on what gauge your running;)

You'll get upto 4awg through there. Any bigger and it's too small a hole, unless you open it up or drill another hole through the firewall.

I have got 0awg though the bulkhead grommet but it was real tight, failing that drill your own and grommet it. Make sure you know what your drilling though

just watch out for those oh so delicate wires a mistake could be very costly:eek:

Did mine last night. Ended up inserting a nail down the middle of the cable which then made it more ridged and thus easier to push through the grommet. then just cut the cable off with the nail in afterwards.

Did mine last night with an awl. Pushed it carefully through the grommet, then pushed the awl into the cable pointing towards the end and pushed that throught the previously made hole. Carefully remove awl, job jobbed! Easy peasy. Swearing at it seems to work like a lubricant too!!
