Wiring harness

Car  Renaul clio 1.2 16v
Ok anyone know where i can get a wiring harness from. Its a 1.2 16v clio. Also is it a simple case of unplug old one, andplug new one it. I have been quoted £101 plus VAT from renault.

cheers

Well, Renault is obviously one place. A breakers yard might be an alternative.

The wiring harnesses in a car are not all one piece, so you need to find out which parts you need if its a repair you are doing.

It should be fairly straight forward then.

TIP. icon3.gif Lay the new one out on top of the old one, and check all the connectors are the same before you remove anything.

Car makers have a nasty habit of changing things during a production run.

Richard be careful which one you buy mates theres 2 looms in the 1.2 engine bay, you'll see 2 block plugs on the injection computer, one of those is for each loom. They're both easy to change though, one takes a bit longer than the other one as it needs the inlet manifold to be taken off.

Easy way to check is the part numbers on the loom, or one will have 4 in a row for injectors (easy to spot) and the other won't.
