But are 182 cup packed wishbones the same as non-cup wishbones?

Nope. Cup'd 182 runs more castor iirc. Balljoint holes are positioned differently.

Wasn't this just the 172 cup? The 182 'extreme pack' wishbones are just the same as non 'extreme pack' wishbones aren't they?

Just checking as I sent a message to Renparts asking for cup wishbones and they said they had none

Now at least I know I can buy non cups & they will fit

No such thing as a daft question imo. You get slightly more caster.

I have a quote from my local Renault dealer for wishbones for my 182, I gave them the reg no. & they gave me the same part no. as for your 172 cup.
I'm a little confused as to which part no. are correct now.

Are wishbones easy to change?

Yes.

Remove the road wheel
Undo the two balljoint bolts (vertically through the wishbone on outside)
Undo the ARB clamps (13mm bolt each side) and rotate the ARB down out the way
Undo the inner bolts (2 large ones running front to back)
Then remove them.

Refit is just the same in reverse


Literally all you need is a few spanners and a jack
