Right now for the reason it was bent:

It got a bend put in as I had a 4-2-1 manifold on my old car but that was designed for mk2's so the exhuast bit at the bottom did not match up and resulted the cat/de-cat hitting the gear selector/leveridge. With the bend in the pipe it clears this so it doesnt knock and then attaches to a mk1 system as normal. I also had a de-cat done like this aswell. Some people putting mk2 engines in mk1s may also need to do something similer :)
